Managing Chaos

So I went through like 5 different variations before landing on these awesome chalk board posters.

I found the posters, chalk, construction paper and glue all at Walmart. For like $8. I was originally looking at white boards but I was sick of having the actual chores wiped off with the day and wanted to leave room for change.

So in came the construction paper. I choose to put 3 chores per paper, 1 for color, 2 for an easy switch out if needed and 3 I know my kids can only remember so many tasks at a time. So I put them in categories. I’m thinking of making their names more permanent cuz it’s already bugging me that it wipes off so easily.

But now we have the top part, which was just lined paper, a clipboard and tape to do some homemade laminating. Which has the schedule and chores in my hand writing. Clean but not fun to look at. As well as the the suggested tasks/chores, I put somewhat in order on their posters. But I wanted to keep the kids posters pretty simple and easy to read.

I am hoping we will do better with this lightly scheduled, schedule. Instead of a strict schedule. And obviously we dont do well with no schedule either. I will update with any changes or updates on this little project as time progresses.
